Confessions of an Internet Shopaholic - Part One

I am a shopaholic.  More specifically, an internet shopaholic.  I like online shopping so much that I've had to turn this blog entry into multiple parts!  But seriously, I wasn't always an online shopper.  I used to enjoy the flexible hours of a college student and then a law student, where I could go shopping any time I wasn't in classes, which meant pretty much whenever I wanted.  Since classes were usually 15-18 hours a week, even with taking time to study and do homework, I still had way more free time than with a full time job.

When it was time to enter the real world of working at least 5 days a week for 9 or so hours a day, spending a few hours at the mall on one of my precious days off to look at clothes and makeup and whatever else, on top of driving to specialty stores like Barnes & Noble, Petsmart, Ulta, or Bed, Bath & Beyond for other items, became extremely unappealing.  So slowly but surely, I went from making just a few purchases online over the course of the year to making almost all of my purchases online.

Easy Peasy Alfredo Sauce

P, my love, is a great believer in the Atkins Diet.  I oppose the Atkins Diet, but let's not get into an argument about which ways of eating or dieting are the best.  The point is, while I oppose it, I love P and want to support him as best I can.  SO I decided I needed to come up with an Atkins approved meal that wasn't a plate of bacon (although that IS delicious) and incorporated one of his favorite things.  I looked at several Atkins recipes and to be honest I was very underwhelmed.  So I made up my own recipe.  And part of that recipe involved one of P's favoritest things: ALFREDO SAUCE.

Pan-Seared Chicken with a Delicious Cream Sauce

This is going to be a kind of lengthy post but I promise this recipe is really easy and worth the time investment.  It will take you about 1.5 hours to pull off, only because you need to caramelize onions which is not labor intensive at all.  What is this recipe you ask? Pan-Seared Chicken with Balsamic Cream Sauce, Mushrooms, and Caramelized Onions. There is nothing that is not delicious about that title, amiright?? This is my second time making this recipe and me being me I made some edits:

I am sure the original recipe is good. I argue that with my adjustments it's better and more realistic  (if you want me to do a straight up pinterest recipe let me know, otherwise I will keep cooking my way because I really hate wasting when I know a recipe needs help and I can make some adjustments). So without further ado:

Bonjour! Here's an Easy Quiche Lorraine

Hi, my name is Cassidy. I'm a lawyer (trust me it's not glamorous).  Although I like lawyering well enough I am always striving to be awesome at home as well as out in the world. I also love parentheticals. But anyway, I spend a lot of time shopping, cooking, pinning, crafting, and trying to improve myself while being a good girlfriend and dog mom.

Here are my "babies" being all cute.
Moving on, I have no clue about blogging. I figured that I'd give it a go so my friends and family could learn some fun things and see what trouble I'm getting into next.
